In this text, we will talk about how to independently clean or replace the injectors, it all depends on their condition, on a Golf 3 car with an AEE engine. And also what nozzles can replace standard Volkswagen.

Sometimes there comes such an unpleasant moment when you have to climb under the hood and change or clean the nozzles. Do not rush to replace, since first we will try to revive the installed injectors, and if this does not work out, then we will replace them with VAZ ones. We will put VAZ ones as they are much cheaper.
Required tool
We will need:
- 1 tube super glue
- 4 injectors (Siemens DEKA IV VAZ 20734)
- Carburetor cleaner
- Collector nut + washer, 2 pcs
- Bolt with M6 thread, 50 mm, 2 pcs
- crosshead screwdriver
- 5mm hexagon
- Vise
- 12V power supply or battery
- Key for 10
- 4cm oxygen hose
- Assistant
- Bulgarian
- Standard VAZ nozzle mounts
Removing the fuel rail with injectors
Before starting work, you need to assemble a simple device, We take the cap from the super-glue, insert the carbcliner tube into it and pour in the glue.
Now the idea to the car, open the hood cover, remove the air filter.
We take in our hands a 5 mm hexagon, they need to unscrew 2 bolts that secure the rack with nozzles.
Do not forget that before pulling out the rail, you need to disconnect the sensor and the injector connectors.
As soon as the nozzles are removed, you need to check their performance.
Checking injectors
The task of the assistant is to turn the starter, and you are looking at the nozzles, there should be a clear cone, a trickle on the working injector, as well as the absence of spraying is a sign of a not working nozzle. Such forces can be cleaned (it may help). The injector must be carefully clamped in a vice, apply 12 volts (be sure to observe the polarity).
If the injector is working properly, you will hear a click. If there is no click, then we throw out the nozzle. Food must be supplied for a short time, as everything can overheat and eventually burn out.
Cleaning the nozzle
The time has come for the adaptation, it must be connected at one end to the cylinder with the carbcliner and to the nozzle at the other. After supplying power, open the nozzle and rinse it with a carbcliner. This operation must be repeated several times, do not forget about overheating. If all your nozzles are working, then we are happy and put back, and if even one is out of order, then we go and get a set of Zhiguli.
Installation of Zhiguli injectors
If you look at the VAG and VAZ nozzles, then we will not see any significant differences, well, just that they differ in the length of the retainer groove.
But remember that the length of the Standard VAZ nozzles differs from the length of the standard ones for the collector nut + washer.



Ignore the injection holes. Now you can put the injectors on the VW Golf 3 back.

In the event that you did not find the VAZ mounts, you will have to suffer, since the rail will not rise evenly, and when you try to install it in place, it will rest against the air filter mounts with its protrusions.

Such places need to be cut with a grinder.

Since now the rail is raised, you need to build up the “pimp”, for such a procedure you will need a piece of oxygen hose.

We install the rail, for reliability we sit on a small drop of superglue.
