Changing the oil in the Tiggo engine to a complicated one, but unlike the previous “tiger” on the FL 1.6 l, the location of the oil filter, in fact, like the oil filter itself, has been changed. Therefore, owners of Tiggo FL may have a question: “where is the oil filter?” And as for the oil change (drain / fill), everything is clear and so. Therefore, in the photo instructions, we focus on how to actually replace the oil filter in Cherie Tiggo FL, and not on how to change the oil.
You will need to purchase:
- oil filter cartridge E4G16-1012040;
- sealing rubber cartridge E4G16-1012031.
What oil to use for Cherie Tigo FL, when to change?

- XADO XA20222 – 3690 rub.
- Febi 32937 – 1206 rub.
- Mannol 1148 – 803 rubles.
Replacement frequency – every 10 thousand km.
After the engine warms up, open the hood of the Tiggo FL and unscrew the filler cap so that the oil runs faster.
We climb under the car and unscrew the drain bolt. While the oil is draining, go to work under the hood.
We take the head on “27” with an extension – it will come in handy to unscrew the housing cover in which the oil filter is located.
On Chery Tiggo FL with a 1.6 liter engine, the location of the filter is like it is others, so we look behind the engine (in the upper left corner) and see a black cover – under it there is a filter cartridge.
We unscrew and pull out the old filter, wipe the cover from the old oil and change the rubber O-ring.
We take a new oil filter for Tiggo FL cat number. filter: E4G16-1012040.
We insert a new filter cartridge into the cover and put on a rubber seal (lubricated with fresh oil).
Now that the oil from the Tiggo FL engine has drained, we tighten the bolt in place and proceed to pouring fresh oil into the oil filler neck.
In this case, this oil was poured.
