We sincerely do not wish you to find yourself in a situation with a sharply ended “slurry” in the dark and on a busy highway – such a combination is quite capable of provoking an accident. Wipers can reliably clean the windshield, but its dirty part can become poorly visible over time, as can side windows. Especially dangerous is the uncleaned area at the front pillar, forming an increased dead zone.
Do not be lazy to stop and clean off the dirt even with snow, even with a rag. Remember: the assurance that “come on, and so I’ll reach you” can literally hit reality, but at the cost of your carelessness and negligence, God forbid, it will not only be damaged hardware.
Speaking of wipers. Before turning them on, make sure that the brushes are not frozen to the glass. Otherwise, you risk breaking the mechanism. It is also highly recommended not to run wipers if there is a lot of snow on the windshield.
Using a worn tire or battery in winter is fraught with trouble. In the cold season, the battery experiences increased loads, if only because it is often difficult to start the engine. In older devices, the density of the electrolyte drops and, although sometimes you have to recharge the battery and warm it at home, you can’t do this forever, and it’s uncomfortable. There will come a time when a battered battery will set you up and not start the car. Although, you can only blame yourself.
As for worn winter tires with a conventional tread, then there is nothing to talk about. The decision to “neatly get to the spring” one fine, but rather a terrible moment will come to you sideways in the literal sense. Do not save on tires, because, as you know, it is through them that the car contacts and interacts with the road.
Forget under the snow
Residents of megalopolises sometimes do not have a large selection of parking spaces. If a machine with “drums” refuses to move, you can pour them with warm water or knock without fanaticism. The pads that are stuck to the discs can be “thawed” with an anti-freeze for glasses. However, these procedures can theoretically be avoided if you leave a small space behind the car – when reversing with the whole mass, it is easier to unlock the wheels.
