2. Quickly repeat the following steps (2a and 2b) five times within 5 seconds.

2a. Press the accelerator pedal all the way.

2b. Release the accelerator pedal completely.

3. Wait 7 seconds, press the accelerator pedal all the way and hold for about 10 seconds until the “Check Engine” indicator flashes.

4. Release the accelerator pedal completely (while the “Check Engine” lamp is flashing).

5. Wait approximately 10 seconds..

6. Press the accelerator pedal all the way and hold for more than 10 seconds.

7. Release the accelerator pedal completely (while the Check Engine lamp continues to flash).

8. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position (off). Now you can start the car. The “Check Engine” lamp should go out. If the “Check Engine” lamp remains on, repeat the above steps. It should be reiterated that timing is EXTREMELY important for resetting the computer..

1. Ensure that the accelerator pedal is fully released..

2. Turn the ignition key to the “ON” position.

3. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position and wait at least 10 seconds. Make sure that during these 10 seconds you hear the characteristic throttle sound.

ECU training on idle air flow (throttle position)

Use the stopwatch to measure time as accurately as possible.

1. Train the computer to the released position of the accelerator pedal.

2. Train the computer in the closed throttle position.

3. Start the engine and warm it up to normal operating temperature.

4. Turn the ignition key to the “OFF” position and wait at least 10 seconds.

5. Make sure that the accelerator pedal is fully released, then turn the ignition key to the “ON” position and wait 3 seconds.

6. Quickly repeat the following steps (7a and 7b) five times within 5 seconds.

7a. Press the accelerator pedal all the way.

7b. Release the accelerator pedal completely.

8. Wait 7 seconds, press the accelerator pedal all the way and hold for approximately 20 seconds until the “Check Engine” indicator stops flashing and lights up continuously.

9. Fully release the accelerator pedal within 3 seconds after the “Check Engine” lamp lights up (continuously).

10. Start the engine and let it idle.

11. Wait 20 seconds.

12. Increase RPM two or three times and make sure that the idle speed and the ignition timing are within the standard limits..
