Webcams on the border with Finland
On the Russian-Finnish border, surveillance cameras have been installed for car queues, information from which anyone can get on the Internet. At short intervals, cameras photograph a stretch of road in front of a border crossing point and post the image on the Internet. Cameras are installed at all southern border points – Vaalimaa (Torfyanovka), Nuyamaa (Brusnichnoe), Imatra (Svetogorsk) and Niirala (Vyartsilya).
